MidCoast Health System offers IV therapy, infusions and transfusions to serve patients every day. Under a prescription order from a physician, this therapy is offered when a patient’s condition is so severe that it can’t be treated by oral medications.
Infusion therapy may be used for treatment of cancer, chronic pain, dehydration, gastrointestinal (GI) problems, heart failure, immunodeficiency disorders, malnutrition, neuromuscular disorders and serious infections.
