Assuming you are a walk-in customer, Mid Coast Pharmacy #1 will fill a prescription within 20 minutes, but due to the work load, this is not always possible. To avoid delays, you can call ahead so that the prescription will be ready to be picked up.
Mid Coast Pharmacy offers two locations that serve for pick up only. If you are in need of a prescription, please send your medication to Mid Coast Pharmacy (#1). We deliver all medications twice daily to each of our pick up only locations, delivery being at 11:00am and 3:00pm.
Mid Coast Pharmacy is your hometown pharmacy. We are a part of Mid Coast Health System, a 501(c)(3) nonproft organization. Mid Coast Pharmacy offers the lowest drug costs compared to other retail pharmacies. When you consider choosing a pharmacy, consider the pharmacy who supports your children’s extracurricular activities or your local town. That is where Mid Coast Health System and Mid Coast Pharmacy comes out on top.
Though there is some debate when it comes to expiration dates, in general, you want to be cautious, particularly if you are elderly. The effects will vary by medication. If you are unsure, check with your doctor. They will be able to tell you how medicinal expiration may affect your specific medication.
If you are new to a medication you might want to know: What is this medication designed to do to me? How will it function in my body? Who should or should not be using this drug? How will my use of this medication be monitored? When do I start taking them? When do I stop taking them?
Generic drugs are an excellent way to help avoid spiraling medical costs. Generics are approved and endorsed by the government. In other words, generic prescriptions are just as safe and as effective as brand name drugs and, in fact, have been found to have fewer recalls.
Our Pharmacy has partnered with FLAVORx with a in-house antibiotic flavoring system for children’s medication. We are able to flavor different types of medications, including antibiotics, to make it easier for your children to take their medications. Please ask a pharmacist if you are interested in this exceptional service that sets our Pharmacy a part from others.
At this time Mid Coast Pharmacy does not have an App for your telephone; however, we do have SMS Text messaging notifications. Once your medication is ready for pickup, you will receive a SMS text notification to the telephone number on file. If you prefer a telephone call, please notify your Pharmacist and we are happy to give you a call when your prescription is ready.
